Thursday September 18 at 6:30 is our first Parent Council & Fundraising Society meeting of the year.

AND YES WE WANT YOU THERE!

New families, and returning families, this is a wonderful way to find out what is happening behind the scenes, how decisions are made, and how your voice can be heard. Whether you are interested in being an active part of council or just want to be informed, your presence is important!

So, join us at Samuel W Shaw school tomorrow evening.

Call for coolers and freezie snippers! ✂️

Sports Day is Wednesday June 25 (AM ONLY) and we will be handing out freezies.

We are looking for the following:
- extra coolers to store freezies
- volunteers to help snip and hand out to the students.

If you are able to volunteer either by lending a cooler or volunteering to snip and distribute, please email council [email protected] or message us here!

URGENT: Casino Volunteers NEEDED!

Casino Volunteers - URGENT

We are 2 weeks away from our casino and still are missing many volunteers that are required to run this event.

If we don't get the volunteers required, the AGLC will no longer allow us to hold future casinos. The funds received from our casinos, usually $70,000+, help fill the gaps to support our children's education. These funds are extremely important for the students and we cannot afford to lose it.

Please reach out to all of your contacts, whether extended family, neighbours, or friends, and see if we can get these last slots filled up as soon as possible. Details of the casino are below.

Dates: Monday, June 16 & Tuesday, June 17 (Night Shifts & Backups are needed)

Where: Deerfoot Casino (11500 35 Street SE)

No experience is necessary as there are advisors that help all volunteers every step of the way. Also, note that no police clearance is required. Details can be found on the signup sheet. Please use the link.
