🎰 UPCOMING CASINO 🎰

Canyon Meadows Society has a casino coming up right away and we need your help!!!

Our casino dates are Sunday, October 4 & Monday, October 5 at Deerfoot Inn and Casino. The casino is a major fundraiser for the school, raising approximately $70-$80 K for the school every 18 months. If we cannot fill the volunteer requirements, we lose the casino. That’s a lot of money to lose 💸 💸💸

Anyone can volunteer, NO POLICE CLEARANCE NECESSARY. Grab some friends and family and work a shift together. It can be lots of fun!

Your time and support is greatly appreciated. Money raised from the casino goes towards technology, resources, field trip bussing and helps offset the cost of school residencies and field trips.

What’s the difference between council and society you ask? 🤔

Ok, you probably weren’t wondering, but we’d like to explain the difference anyway!

School council and society are 2 separate entities. The main purpose of school council is a bridge between the school, parents and community. Council meetings consist of sharing educational matters, such as school policies and student learning.

The main purpose of school society is fundraising. Society raises funds to support the school and student learning.

☀️ Happy Summer Vacation ☀️

As another wonderful school year comes to a close, the School Council would like to wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and fun filled summer!

Thank you for all of your support this year.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another fantastic school year on August 31.

Until then, we hope your summer is filled with laughter, unforgettable memories and quality time with family and friends.

A massive THANK YOU to all the vendors and volunteers for a successful Fiesta de Verano last night 🪇

In typical Calgary fashion, we started out with some sun, a bit of wind, then the clouds came rolling in. Despite the wind and chillier weather, the rain held off!!!

It was a great evening and is always so wonderful seeing all the kids running around having a blast.
