Glenmore Sailing Club

BOYS,BOATS & BEERS. At The Glenmore Sailing Club! Come trim the mainsail, work the jib, and take the tiller with an experienced skipper onboard as your coach.

Each evening includes hands on sailing, a dockside safety chat, and time on the water with a small crew. After sailing, everyone helps pack down the boats before heading to the Club deck for craft beer, BBQ’d brats, and sunset stories overlooking the lake.

$75 per participant
Tuesday evenings | 6:20 PM – 9:30 PM
3 participants per boat
Life jackets provided

Bring non-marking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and gloves if you want to trim sails.

Join Glenmore Sailing Club for the 2026 Driftwood Regatta, May 23–24, for a weekend of racing, community, and time on the water at Glenmore Reservoir.

Spots are filling up, so sailors are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure their place on the start line. Don’t wait until the last minute get signed up and start getting ready for race weekend.

Wednesday Night Racing!!!

We’re excited for another evening on the water at Glenmore Sailing Club. Tomorrow’s forecast is showing lighter winds earlier in the day, building into the evening with winds around 17 knots and gusts reaching up to 23 knots later on.

That means racers should come prepared for changing conditions and stronger gusts near race time.

Before heading out:

🌬️ Check the latest forecast before arriving
🧥 Dress for cooler and windy conditions on the water
🦺 Wear your PFD at all times
🧤 Bring gloves for handling lines
💧 Bring water and weather appropriate layers
⛵ Be ready for a fun and competitive night of sailing

Racers, crew, members, and spectators are welcome to come enjoy the evening. Stick around after racing for the social at the Club!

Learn the rules, sharpen your tactics, and get race ready ⛵️

Join us for the Racing Rules of Sailing Seminar at Glenmore Sailing Club, led by Mike Turner, Sail Canada International Judge, experienced race umpire, and active sailor with over 40 years of racing experience.

The morning session will cover key racing rules including Port/Starboard, Windward/Leeward, starts, finishes, and mark roundings. The afternoon session will focus on tactics, interpretation, and more advanced racing topics.

Racing Rules of Sailing Seminar

Are you looking to take your Standard First Aid? Or maybe you just need recertification? We are running this course on Saturday! If you need the full course, you will need to complete the 8 hour online portion prior to Saturday! The recertification part requires no online prerequisite.
