You've probably heard it >>>Iridology is pseudoscience

If you’re curious about what iridology actually is, why it works, and how to use it effectively in clinical practice—this webclass is for you.

Many RNs, NDs, MDs, and RMTs have heard of iridology. Unfortunately, what they’ve mostly heard is misinformation that makes it sound like a charlatan’s game.

And honestly, there’s a reason for that.

As medical understanding has evolved over centuries, practices once considered standard—bloodletting, trepanation, administering mercury, arsenic, even radium—were eventually proven inaccurate, ineffective, or unsafe and replaced with better approaches.

Iridology, in its modern form, emerged about 200 years ago. Some early theories were, in fact, questionable. But over time—and through extensive clinical use—more accurate, functional information has been uncovered. Sadly, some practitioners never updated their understanding and continue to teach outdated concepts that are simply incorrect.

In the past 60+ years, iridology has evolved significantly—much like modern medicine itself. Today, when practiced correctly, it is a refined assessment tool that can save you time and help you quickly focus on what matters most for your clients.

What iridology really is (and what it isn’t)
Why it works

Have you noticed, as holistic health pros we spend a fair amount of time addressing digestive symptoms ranging from heartburn, reflux, and nausea, to undigested food in 💩.

Sometimes we know we need to support digestion even when no symptoms exist. Seemingly unrelated symptoms can point us 👉 in this direction.

Our clients are not interested in chemical 💊 medications. They are interested in solutions that are not going to cause chain reactions that lead to needing more meds.

Hear me clearly - we cannot use iridology to diagnose disease or prescribe remedies. We can use it to guide the ❓ we ask, to assess the situation 📋, and to inform what info we need to share with our clients by way of education.

When we’re talking about digestion at the stomach level, there are some inherent indicators in the 👁️ that correlate directly to the stomach lining. There are also some systemic indicators that can affect many things, including digestion.

We’ll look at many eyes that have stomach markers and talk about common symptoms.

Have you ever wondered if your clients' eye colors could give you any insight into their health issues?

Could their irides corroborate the findings you made using other assessment tools? Or guide you as to what to look for with other assessment tools?

Could their iris color help you decide on questions to ask to help you drill down to get the info you need and recommendations to make?

The answer is a resounding yes!

Join me for this interactive mini-class on the science of iris color for holistic health professionals to see how iridology works in health coaching.

Many years ago a recently-certified iridologist came to me to ask how could she build a business using her iridology training. I asked what other training she had. She had none. I had to tell her what her teacher did not tell her. It’s pretty darn hard to create a business using just iridology.

Imagine taking your car to Bob, the mechanic, for a maintenance check. He finds some problems, and he can tell you which parts are not working properly. And then he says, “I can tell you what needs to be fixed, but I don’t fix cars. I only assess them. You’ll have to take your car to Jim down the street. He knows what to do with your car.”

Iridology is like the way Bob practices mechanics. It’s an assessment tool. It doesn’t give us disease names. It helps us to see where inherent challenges are. It helps us understand why a client has the symptoms he or she has. Many iridologists work this way - giving lists of what ‘could’ be out of balance instead of connecting symptoms to iris/sclera/pupil indicators.

Which modalities do you think would pair well with iridology?

Over the years as a holistic health coach I've come to realize how precious time is.

It used to be that I would schedule client sessions in one-hour blocks, but seemed to have challenges managing each hour-long session.

I wanted to give more value.

That translated into giving more information than most clients could possibly absorb in that time, and it always meant going overtime which did not respect my client's time either.

Definitely not the best way to run a clinic-based business.

With the refinement of my people skills, and the additional of a specific clinical skill I have mastered the fine art of 'lasering in' to give just the needed info and that keeps me running on time.

I'm curious - what's your best tip for staying on-time with your clients sessions?

02/01/2025

If your client appointments just don't seem long enough to get the assessment done and a program created, or if you spend time outside the appointment creating programs, I can help you.

I used to struggle like that, too. Now, in addition to my clinical work, I teach health professionals, like you, how to use iridology to simplify and laser-target their clinical work cutting the time it takes by up to 80%.

If you’re new to iridology and you’re intrigued by it but you’re not sure what questions to ask to get started learning this amazing science, I’ve got your back!

Or what if you’ve been around iridology for a while, but you’re seeing conflicting information? What then? How do you sort it out because all you really want right now is a basic understanding to figure out if you want to spend more time on it or not?

Like I said - I’ve got your back, too!

In this week’s mini-class we’re going to answer five fundamental questions:

What is iridology?
Where did it come from & how did it evolve?
Why does it work?
What can it teach us?
How should it be used?

I’ve been an iridologist for 45 years. I’ve seen a lot of changes in iridology because of ongoing research in the field. I strive to always teach based on the most current research!

Read the entire post - I can if you haven’t by the questions you ask!

As a health professional have you ever noticed that some clients have eyes that are pure in color - usually either blue or brown while others have eyes that have a base color with freckles and smudges of color in them?

When you understand…

*Where these extra colors (we call them pigments) come from and what they mean

*Whether you should you be concerned or worried about them

*And what it means if your client didn’t have them a few years ago but has them now…

you can go so much deeper in assessing their health and creating on-target, individual protocols quickly and easily.
