Lycée international de Calgary Our goal is to provide our students with the knowledge, tools, and resources to develop skills and We welcome students from 3 years old to Grade 12.

Established in 1966, Lycée international de Calgary is Alberta's premier French school! We are the only school in Calgary to teach the French Ministry of Education and Alberta Education curricula, offering students a unique education. Families from all linguistic backgrounds are welcome to attend Lycée Louis Pasteur. No prior French exposure is needed to enroll in our Preschool (Maternelle) Progra

m (for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds). Classes are taught by a certified teacher and an assistant. Our French Language Immersive Program (FLIP) allows us to welcome new students Grades 1 & 2 with no prior French and includes individualized learning plans and significant one-on-one time with a dedicated teacher. The French curriculum is taught in French by French speakers and the Alberta curriculum is taught in English by English speakers and produces academically adept students who are truly bilingual. English is taught starting in Preschool. Spanish is taught beginning in Grade 6. Upon graduation, Lycée Calgary students receive their Alberta High School Diploma and the French Baccalaureat, a diploma recognized for university entrance throughout the world. Lycée international de Calgary is a member of a prestigious global network of over 500 schools in 137 countries. It is the only school in Calgary to be a member of this international network. A Fantastic First Day at Lycée International de Calgary!

The 2026–2027 school year is officially underway, and what a wonderful first day it has been! The morning started on a warm, welcoming note as parents joined us for our traditional Café-Croissant, sharing coffee and conversation while settling their children in.

Drop-off ran smoothly, and it was wonderful to see so many happy, smiling faces walking through our doors. Our hallways are alive with energy again, and our students have settled right into their classrooms.

Thank you to our dedicated staff, parents, and community for making the first morning back such a success. Here is to an incredible school year ahead!

Today was officially Day 1 back for all our staff, faculty, and administration (including our year-round admin team who stayed busy all summer long!). 🍎✨

The Lycée Calgary staff was thrilled to celebrate Bastille Day this past weekend, and we were deeply honored by the presence of Raphaël Dang Raphaël Dang, Consul General of France in Vancouver, alongside our local Honorary Consul, Emmanuel Giry!
A huge thank you to Emmanuel Giry, La Cité des Rocheuses, Alliance Française, and Calgary Accueil for having us as a sponsor at this event. We had a wonderful time connecting with the community over cocktails at the beautiful Café Théâtre in La Cité des Rocheuses. 🥂☀️

☀️ Summer Day Camp Recap: Pirate Week! From daily treasure hunts to baking gold coin cookies, our day camp kids had an unforgettable time during last week’s pirate adventures. We lucked out with gorgeous sunny weather, allowing the groups to enjoy plenty of outdoor games and activities all week long. Check out some of our favorite moments from the week below!

☀️ Retour sur notre camp de jour : Une semaine sur le thème des pirates ! Des chasses au trésor quotidiennes à la confection de délicieux biscuits en forme de pièces d’or, nos jeunes du camp de jour ont passé des moments inoubliables lors de cette aventure de pirates la semaine dernière. Nous avons eu la chance de profiter d’une météo magnifique et ensoleillée, permettant aux groupes de s’en donner à cœur joie avec de nombreux jeux et activités de plein air tout au long de la semaine. And that’s a wrap on another incredible school year! ☀️🍔

We couldn’t have asked for a better send-off than our Year-End Barbecue! The weather was absolutely beautiful, the energy was amazing, and the school yard was filled with endless fun and laughter. It was the perfect way to celebrate our wonderful community and all the achievements of our students.

A beautiful chapter is coming to a close. Last night, our Grade 12 students celebrated their journey together at the 2026 Senior Prom. 🌟

Seeing our seniors celebrate their hard work, friendships, and shared memories was truly special. As graduation approaches, we hope last night serves as a reminder of the amazing community you’ve built here.

Incredible performance by our Grade 12 student! Sophie S. captured the silver medal in the 1500m! Just 24 hours after brilliantly winning silver in the 3000m!

She clocked an amazing time of 4:56.35 in the 1500m. Closely supported by the school staff this Saturday, this stunning performance should open the doors for her to the CALTAF, National Track & Field Tour U16-U18, which takes place June 26-28, back at Foothills Athletic Park.
