THANK YOU // 5 years ago today, I officially signed an agreement to take over Hot Mama Fit Calgary SE. The foundation for this wonderful community, which offered inclusive, friendly, no judgement fitness classes for moms and their children, was set by . I was tasked with keeping this thriving community going. I left my oil & gas job and haven't looked back since.
Running these little mom & child bootcamps has changed so much in the past 5 years but l it has shaped me into the person I am today in so many positive ways. I have been fortunate enough to have found two new teaching jobs in 2020 and, at this stage in my life, I have decided to no longer offer my own mom & child classes.
Hot Mama Fit gave me the shove I needed to finally quit a job that didn't make me happy. It also gave me the priceless opportunity to spend Maria's early years with her full time. Maria is now in grade 2 and I feel like my career switch affected her so wonderfully as well.
2020 forced me to overhaul my business and it was not able to recover to the full time job that it used to be. I am so lucky to continue sharing & teaching as an Educator with and a coach at
I can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve shown me in the past 5 years. Whether it was 1 class or 100 classes or a 12 week Run Group, in person or online, please know that it was an honour to spend time with you & your families.

SUMMER RUN GROUP 🏃🏻♀️ Going strong since 2016! 👊
I am so happy to be back leading another group of strong women dedicated to improving their fitness and setting goals through our run training program.
We’ll meet every Wednesday for the next 12 weeks, leading up to the race weekend. The support, motivation and accountability of our group is something special!

This week…. Outdoor classes are back after the heat wave! 😎
Our Wednesday morning class in Auburn Bay is happening again. 9:30 am, $10 drop in, kids welcome! Message me if you’re coming.
RUN GROUP! Starts this Wednesday, July 7th! Details below. Message me to register or drop in for the workout. This class will be in Cranston.
🏃🏻♀️ RUN GROUP 2021 🏃🏻♀️
Designed for the beginner to intermediate runner, this 12 week program will help you safely train for a 5k or 10k goal race (Calgary Marathon – in person on Sunday, September 19th or virtually any time in September).
Our Run Group is unique in that we meet weekly to train and strengthen the muscles you need for running to ensure your body has the strength and endurance to carry you as a runner. You’ll also receive a run program to follow in between classes. We guide you through run/walk intervals using our safe and effective program to get you to the distance you're running. We'll discuss hot running topics like clothing, nutrition, shoes and more!
Join us to educate yourself and train your body to get you safely from start line to finish line.
Our 12 week program includes:
* a weekly 45 minute muscular endurance workout with focus on lower body and core.
* a learn to run 5K or 10K beginner or intermediate program (two runs per week to be completed outside of class)
* weekly check ins and info session
* group support and accountability
* Access to our online workout group with almost 100 ready-to-go videos that you can do anytime.
Dates: Wednesday, Julu 7th to Sunday, September 19th (Race Day!) at 6:30 pm.
No class on Wednesday, August 25th.
The 12 week program costs $129. Drop ins for the workout will be available for $10 per class. Kids are welcome in class!
If an outdoor class is rained out, the workout will still go ahead at home online.

⭐️ F45 ⭐️ Here we go! Starting next week, I will be coaching at F45 Training Okotoks! Their brand new studio opens on March 22nd and it’s going to be amazing! 💥
I started taking F45 classes last Fall with the amazing team at F45 Training Shawnessy. Over 100 workouts later (in studio and online... my lockdown sanity saver!), I knew I wanted to be a bigger part of F45 through coaching. I have changed physically & mentally. Strength & endurance gained, pounds and inches lost. The workouts and team atmosphere make you feel like a total badass!

LIIT 🔥 In person group fitness is back in . LOW intensity interval training is bringing me new life!
All participants are required to wear masks at all times during the workout. At first I was hesitant but it wasn’t so bad! Here’s a few tips:
Lower your breathing rate. It’s easy to feel claustrophobic in a mask so slow down your breathing, even if it means taking more breaks.
Lower your intensity. Lower intensity = lower breathing rate. Move for fun, not competition and rest when you need (it may be more often than you’re used to resting and that’s ok!)
Drink water throughout. Don’t forget! You might reach for it less often knowing you have to adjust the mask to do so. Helps to feel less dry inside the mask.
Wear a breathable mask. The cotton fabric mask you wear to the grocery store may not hold up to sweat like a sports mask. My mask is moisture wicking and stayed relatively dry throughout my workout. The adjustable double strap helped it stay in place and my glasses didn’t fog up as much as I expected.
Wear a mask insert. I got this plastic insert from and it really helped! It keeps the mask from touching your mouth and allows for a little extra breathing room inside the mask.
It’s a little uncomfortable but it is doable! Whether you’re back in studio or still choosing to stay home for your workouts, what matters is that you’re still moving for your physical & mental health ❤️ @ Calgary, Alberta

In person classes *may* happen this month (who knows 🤷🏻♀️) but until I get that confirmation, online classes will continue!
Our February online session is wrapping up this week and a new 4 week round will begin on March 2nd.
There’s currently *63* ready to go workouts in there with more being added every week.
All videos are 20-35 minutes long, easy to follow and require little to no equipment.
$39 gets you one month’s access to our online group. Complete a minimum of two workouts each week in March and be entered to win a prize!
