Pre-Registration Day is Here!

Today we are excited to open pre-registration for our current families and alumni for the 2026–2027 school year. We love welcoming returning families and new siblings back into our AE community!

Registering Alumni & Siblings
- Please use the link in our bio to register an alumni child or a sibling
- Be sure to include an emergency contact who is not a parent/guardian, lives locally, and can be reached in case of emergency
- Once your child’s class is confirmed, the $95 registration fee can be paid via e-transfer
- The Parent Handbook will be sent out for review and signature once registration is complete.

Our atelier is beginning to take shape, and we’re so excited as new art supplies arrive for the year ahead! We’d love to include materials that inspire your child’s imagination. If there are favourite art treasures your little one enjoys, please take a moment to share.

One of my favourite parts of a new preschool year is reimagining our creative spaces! What materials do your little ones love to use when they’re making and creating? Looking to add some fresh inspiration to our atelier!

If you’re ever looking for engaging learning experiences for your school-aged kids (6-10) on PD days, a teacher friend of mine is offering some fun outdoor learning opportunities. There are still spots available for this Friday!

We have some new little friends in our classroom… crickets! The kids have been so curious - watching them move, listening for their chirps, and noticing all the tiny details. There’s nothing like learning straight from nature.

Our imaginative play area is ready - welcome to the Bug Hotel! Complete with lots of fun loose parts, this space invites our preschoolers to build, sort, and imagine all kinds of buggy adventures. From cozy critter beds to leafy lounges, the bugs will be living in luxury.

In early childhood education, perfection doesn’t exist, but joy, mess, curiosity and magic show up every day.

One of our favorite things to do is observe play and develop play invitations that spark even more curiosity and engagement! When we take the time to notice what interests the preschoolers, we can introduce new materials, settings, or challenges that deepen their play and bring new energy to familiar activities. Play is always changing, and we love finding ways to keep it fresh and inspiring! This month, painting a different surface, an Ikea lamp, was a huge hit!
