Are you procrastinating on something you say you really want to do?

I heard recently that we procrastinate because we don't believe we can do it.

I'm not sure this is true.

Ask yourself:
- Can I do this?
- Do I believe I'm worthy enough?
- Do I deserve it?

The key to unlocking procrastination is to figure out what is preventing you from taking action.

My nervous system got out of whack the other day.

Something came up for me that spiralled me into almost hyperventilating.

I wasted an hour trying to get some work done.

But I know better.

I know what tools help me get out of that not-being-able-to-breath feeling.

➡️ I went for walk in a nearby park (without headphones).
➡️ Came home and slathered a charcoal mask onto my face.
➡️ Laid on the floor for 15 minutes as the mask did its thing.
➡️ Made myself a healthy dinner (instead of the chips I thought I wanted).

I felt waaaaaaaaaaaay better.
Grounded.
Centered.
Regulated.
Able to think clearly about my next best step.

Knowing what gets you out of overwhelm and back to a steady state is a superpower.

Because life happens. Hard things come our way. Obstacles get us off track. Challenging situations put pressure on us.

While we can’t control what life throws our way, we can control how we respond.

The how is the tools we learn to help us along our journey.

Wellbeing tip!

One tiny step towards wellbeing is to swap out looking at your phone in bed for a gratitude practice.

Now I know that many of you have a habit of looking at your phone in bed. I did too at one point. Its so addictive!

Research shows that looking at our phone at night is highly detrimental to getting a good quality sleep.

The good news is that habits, even this addictive habit of looking at our phones in bed, can be changed.

Instead of scrolling through your phone in bed to "relax", how about writing down three things you're grateful for.
