High Performance Day at CSIAB🥌

We’re always excited to welcome the Sandra Schmirler Foundation curlers to CSIAB for their annual High Performance Day!

From strength and conditioning to sport nutrition, the day is all about helping athletes learn, train and perform at their best — both on and off the ice.

It’s a privilege to support a group that carries forward Sandra Schmirler’s legacy and the Foundation’s mission of helping champions start small.

C’est toujours un plaisir d’accueillir les athlètes de la Fondation Sandra Schmirler au l’ICSAB

De la préparation physique à la nutrition sportive, cette journée permet aux athlètes d’apprendre, de s’entraîner et de performer à leur meilleur niveau, sur la glace comme à l’extérieur.

C’est un privilège de soutenir un groupe qui fait vivre l’héritage de Sandra Schmirler et la mission de la Fondation, qui vise à aider les champions à partir du bon pied.

We'll be closed on Monday, August 3 for Heritage Day and will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, August 4.

Today, we were proud to welcome representatives from the Government of Canada to our legacy sport facilities as they announced new investments in high-performance sport infrastructure across Alberta.

These investments will help preserve and strengthen the places where athletes train, coaches lead, and future generations of Canadian sport continue to grow. Legacy facilities are more than venues - they are the foundation of excellence, innovation, and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and to our partners who continue to invest in the future of Canadian sport. Together, we're building stronger pathways for athletes from playground to podium. 🇨🇦

Aujourd’hui, nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir des représentants du gouvernement du Canada dans nos installations sportives héritées à l’occasion de l’annonce de nouveaux investissements dans les infrastructures du sport de haute performance en Alberta.

Ces investissements contribueront à préserver et à renforcer les lieux où les athlètes s’entraînent, où les entraîneurs accompagnent la prochaine génération et où le sport canadien continue de grandir. Les installations héritées sont bien plus que des lieux d’entraînement : elles sont le fondement de l’excellence, de l’innovation et de la communauté.

This year, we highlighted innovative approaches to athlete recovery, celebrated journeys from Milano Cortina to the next generation of athletes, and recognized the lasting impact of our Red, White & Gold Gala in supporting high-performance sport.

High performance is about more than results. It's about being prepared for the unexpected, supporting athletes throughout every stage of their journey, and inspiring those who will follow.

This year, we strengthened emergency preparedness, celebrated athletes beyond competition through Game Plan Day, and invested in the next generation through partnerships with high school athlete development programs.

La haute performance va bien au-delà des résultats. C'est être prêt à faire face à l'imprévu, soutenir les athlètes à chaque étape de leur parcours et inspirer la prochaine génération.

Cette année, nous avons renforcé notre préparation aux situations d'urgence, célébré les athlètes au-delà de la compétition grâce à la Journée Game Plan et investi dans la relève grâce à nos partenariats avec des programmes de développement des athlètes dans les écoles secondaires.
