As I reflect on my time with the Real Estate Students’ Association (RESA) over the past three years, I feel incredibly grateful for the journey and the opportunities it has provided me. Starting as Director of Marketing, moving on to Vice President of Marketing, and now serving as Co-President, my involvement with RESA has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my university experience.
-
Through RESA, I’ve had the privilege to participate in industry events like the Real Estate Forum and several mentoring events hosted by the club. These opportunities have allowed me to not only deepen my understanding of the real estate industry but also connect with inspiring professionals who are shaping its future.

Calgary’s unique charm lies in its combination of big-city opportunities with a close-knit community. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate how interconnected the real estate industry is here—everyone seems to know everyone, and those relationships are the foundation of success. Thanks to RESA and resources provided by the  Westman Centre, I’ve been able to build strong connections and gain invaluable insight into the field.
-
To students considering getting involved, I can’t stress enough the importance of stepping outside your comfort zone—attend events, ask questions, and meet as many people as you can. The real estate industry is incredibly dynamic, offering diverse career paths in areas such as finance, development, marketing, law, and more.

RESA has been instrumental in shaping my passion for real estate and helping me navigate my path in this exciting industry.
