Arlington Street Foundation Scholarship

Arlington Street Foundation Scholarship ASFS funds and supports post secondary education of Gordon Bell High School students who are distinguished by their resiliency and commitment to succeed. Mr.

The fund is inspired by the spirit, pride, desire and ability to overcome adversity embodied by the families who immigrated to the downtown core of Winnipeg, Manitoba during the 1950’s. The fund was established by Mr. Frank L. Lonardelli whose experience growing up in a first generation Italian Immigrant family located in downtown Winnipeg gave him first-hand exposure to adversity as he was faced

with both the challenges of finding success in school and dealing with personal family challenges. Lonardelli’s initial investment of $100,000 represents his fundamental belief that a young person can procure an immense benefit with a combination of financial investment and mentorship. This combined support enables one to achieve their own individual path to success. This initial investment will be augmented through direct investments of individuals and businesses connected to Gordon Bell High School and its surrounding neighbourhoods.
