Friends, we are so excited to recognize the Ark Foundation in Calgary (Canada) for providing financial support for our “Pinkin Mama Tokabot (Child or Teenage Mother Awareness) Project”. This 6-month project which is expected to start in August 2023, is an art and literacy program that aims to train 250 young people aged 13-19 on sexual health education and highlight the problems surrounding child or teenage pregnancy in schools and communities in the Marampa Chiefdom of Port Loko district in Sierra Leone. First deadline for grant applications was April 15th, and we received so many submissions! It is great to see so many organizations doing incredible work for our youth. Unfortunately, it also means there is massive need not being met. We have our work cut out for us to decide where to direct much needed funds.

COVID vaccines: Widening inequality and millions vulnerable 10/20/2021

In 2015, The Wonder Project was created with the intention to help youth ,through fundraising for school infrastructure, and supporting education programming in developing countries. We have done that, but it has evolved into more. In 2019, we began to formalize our efforts, and look to attain sustainability. We are officially now known as The ARK Foundation. A Canadian registered charity with the mandate of furthering youth education and wellness locally and globally. So you'll see our name has changed, but our intentions and the people behind it have not. Thanks for your support!

Beautiful to see Radia reading a passage, and able to answer questions showing she not only can read, but has developed a strong grasp of the English language, which is the language school is taught in for junior and senior high school in Ghana. We have high hopes for Radia's future!
