LRC Speaker Series presents, Arabic Language Diversity Across Time and Space | School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures & Cultures | University of Calgary 10/18/2018

Marhaban, everyone! Ever wondered how Arabic came to be so incredibly rich and diverse in its registers and dialects? Tomorrow the Language Research Centre will be hosting Dr. Alexander Magidow, a scholar of Arabic at the University of Rhode Island, to give a lecture on the linguistic history of the Arabic language, and in particular the relationship between the dialects and Standard Arabic.

The lecture will be held tomorrow at Craigie Hall D 420, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, and is titled, "Arabic Language Diversity Across Time and Space with Dr. Alexander Magidow."
