We officially became a family of 4 this weekend, and boy did this baby understand the assignment that he couldn't take centre stage until AFTER his big sisters recital on Saturday, even let us go out for dinner with grandma ending in a sleepover... a sleepover at grandmas that would prove to be a lifesaver, since my water broke at 12:43am on Sunday morning.
We would like to introduce you to
Wyatt Daniel Alexander Tomlinson
Born Sunday, June, 7th at 3:50am.
Weighing in at 6lbs 8oz, and 20 inches long.
His middle names are in honor of his Grandpa, and his Great Grandpa ❤️ both of whom will be watching him from above.
His labour and delivery time (3 hours 5mins) was faster than his big sisters by almost an hour 😳 without any of the interventions I had in hospital with her.
Due to his speed and eagerness we were able to welcome him at home, in the tub.
Which is exactly what I had wanted and was hoping for when I first got pregnant again.
I was subsequently told it was unsafe to have an out if hospital birth because of my history so the plan was to be in hospital, however if we would have left for the rocky view based on how long the drive is he would have been born in the car giving us an even wilder story haha.
The gift of the homebirth I dreamed of, that my little man gave us was so perfect we haven't left bed too much, we are snuggling and soaking it all in.
Harlyn has been loving being a big sister she's been pretty helpful, and holds his hand when he gets his bum changed.
The animals seem to be adjusting well, cats are curious, Bray didn't leave me at all on Sunday, mitts is a bit more wary of this new tiny creature, Brandy had a hard morning being home for birth, plus all of our birth team guests so she's taking a few days to decompress at grandma'grandma's. She did meet Wyatt before she left and did well.
