Kingsland Community Preschool We are a Reggio Emilia inspired play-based program offering classes for 3 and 4 year old children. Play is integral part of the program. Tanya Green and Ms.

Preschool children learn and grow best when they are exploring, touching and interacting with real things and have caring people around them. Recognizing the importance of balanced growth, our program is designed to engage children in active learning opportunities that enhance a child’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development. Our 3 and 4 year old programs are a gentle and nurturing

introduction to school. Cooperation, independence, exploration, and curiosity are emphasized. Child’s play is respected and celebrated. In the Reggio approach, the teacher is considered a co-learner and collaborator with the child–not just an instructor. Teachers facilitate the child’s learning by planning activities and lessons based on the child’s interests, asking questions to further understanding, and actively engaging in the activities alongside the child. We are so lucky to have two amazing teachers, Mrs. Janelle, who have been involved in the preschool for years. Not only do our teachers bring their qualifications as Early Childhood Educators to the classroom, but they are both caring and imaginative.

Meet the heart of our preschool 💛

First up is Mrs. Green, followed by the wonderful Ms. Janelle. Two educators who truly embody what it means to be kind, caring, and deeply dedicated to their little learners. They are nurturing in every sense, always getting down on the floor with the children, right in the middle of the magic—building, exploring, creating, and yes… getting messy with glue and glitter ✨

Their creativity shines through in the thoughtful, hands-on experiences they design each day, inspired by our Reggio play-based philosophy. They pour so much time, love, and intention into creating an environment where children feel seen, supported, and excited to learn.

We value them more than words can say, and they are a huge part of what makes our preschool such a special place for our little learners to grow and thrive.

We’re helping our little ones get there by practicing how to handle hard things, building language to express ideas and needs, learning to manage big feelings, following simple routines, and growing independence step by step.

But most importantly? We play. A lot. Because play is where the real learning happens.
