Private Tutoring - Victoria Kuczminski

Hello everyone,
My name is Victoria and I am offering 1:1 private tutoring sessions during the summer for all ages in a variety of subjects.

In particular, however, I am offering French sessions to improve writing, spelling, grammar, reading and speaking for French as a Second Language students (elementary up until grade 12), French Immersion students (elementary up until grade 10), and all Late French Immersion students.

I am also offering English sessions to improve writing, spelling, grammar and speaking for all ages and for ESL/ELL/EAL students.
I can also serve as someone with whom your native English-speaking child can practice their basic reading, writing and comprehension skills.

In addition, I am also offering Polish sessions to younger elementary students from around the ages of 5-7. Older ages may be considered upon communication.

~ I try to incorporate the NLA approach wherever possible, so that learning is more authentic.

I am currently a pre-service teacher with the University of Calgary, soon to be receiving my Alberta Teaching Certificate, specializing in French studies.

I have 10+ years of experience working with children, but in particular, being a private tutor.
I have tutored many children as young as 6, but also high school graduates. I am well established and incredibly comfortable with what I do, being an Honour student in the curriculum. I am still in contact with the families I have been welcomed into and am incredibly happy with their children’s success.

I have been a teaching assistant at a private school in Ontario for a full school year before moving out West.

I’ve graduated with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, double majoring in Political Science and French Teaching & Learning as a Second Language. I have also minored in Italian studies.

I am able to speak English and Polish fluently, French very comfortably, and am knowledgeable in Italian.
