How to Best 'Navigate This World' With Cognitive Impairment 04/21/2023

As some of you know, my mother lives with Fronto-temporal Dementia. At later stages, it includes memory loss, which is profound for her right now. A beautiful article from Next Avenue on some better ways to communicate with those with dementia/cognitive impairment. I will try a different way of communication that may work better for both of us.

The Money Mirage - It's easy to look at others and wonder why we seemingly aren't doing as well. Check out Bob Laura's article for what might really be going on.

Some memories of our recent trip to Victoria. Time away is so valuable and rejuvenating. And yes, it's 42 years and counting with my sweet long suffering husband Ray ❤ A big shout out to Meghan Cosenzo of Cosenzo Media.

I currently have the privilege of working with two lovely ladies as we work on planning for their retirement. So cool to be able to see people excited about possibilities.

So, I had the wonderful privilege of babysitting my granddaughter this morning. She was struggling with the change of being stuck with Grandma after a few days of wall to wall Mommy. I got to thinking - even at less than a year old, change is hard. When we are looking at retirement or just into it, change can be hard too. I got some toys ready for our little miss that she had been enjoying earlier ready for her once her nap was over. Just like helping ourselves get ready for retirement- doing some preparation and planning for activities that we know lift our spirits helps a lot. What is something that you love to do that lifts your spirits? Can you make time to do it this weekend?
