Nicknames are not just diminutives; they’re a reflection of affection and closeness…

I’ll give some examples that you can use with your partner, family members and friends

However….Don’t be surprised if a complete stranger calls you by some of these nicknames below 😅 it’s very common

1️⃣ SER- to be (essential features or characteristics)
- Soy Rebeca- I’m Rebeca

2️⃣ ESTAR- to be (Circumstance)
- Estoy en mi casa- I’m in my house

3️⃣TENER - to have (possession and age)
- Tengo 32 años- I’m 32 years old

4️⃣ HACER- to do or to make
- Hago ejercicio- I work out

5️⃣ IR- to go (future plans)
- Voy a comer- I’m going to eat

🌟 Every mistake is a step towards mastering Spanish!

Embracing imperfection is part of the journey.

Just like when I kept mixing up 'écouter' and 'entendre’ in French or stumbled over 'debt' and ‘depth’ in English

to the day I graduated from Modern Languages in 🇻🇪

Man, it's been a ride! Five years of hard work, dedication, and loads of awesome experiences led me to this moment.

Graduating in Modern Languages was a game-changer. Not only did I learn about different cultures and languages, but it also set me on the path to becoming a Spanish teacher. 📚💬

The coolest part was when I got to intern at a bilingual preschool. Seeing how language can light up kids' minds was mind-blowing! 💡

Now, I'm all about making a difference through education ❤️. I want to inspire my students just like my mentors inspired me during my language journey. 🌎✨

So, here's the deal:

Meet two incredible students of mine who have embarked on an amazing language learning journey! 🌍✈️

Elisa and Dan reached out to me with a common passion: their love for Spanish

They already had some prior knowledge but were eager to take their language skills to the next level and confidently converse with the locals during their trips to Mexico 🇲🇽

But it wasn't just about exploring Mexico; Elisa had a heartfelt reason for learning Spanish too🇵🇷

She wanted to connect with her mom, who hails from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. 🏝️💕

The thought of conversing with her mom in Spanish and embracing her cultural heritage filled her with excitement and determination.

Both Elisa and Dan have been putting in tremendous effort and dedication into their language learning journey, and it's been a pleasure guiding them every step of the way. 💪📚

I can't wait to see them set foot in Mexico, and engaging in meaningful conversations with the locals! 🗣️🇲🇽
