No JKD class tonight - Sifu Jay suffering from food poisoning
04/10/2022
These two just fought in the cage and the one lost to the other. Backstage they stopped to chat and he wanted to learn how he was beaten. This was a learning experience and he soaked it all in, and the knowledge was freely given.
This is the epitome of "when you win you win, when you lose you learn - either way you win"
To be better than you were takes time, effort and sacrifice. If you remove one of these then you will still progress, just slowly.
Season 2 started yesterday and will be posted up today - you can catch up with what you missed. Live
Learning continues even after their fight! 📝#UFC273

"Sifu Jay Cooper is one of the most complete martial artists I have come across. He is a consummate professional and is the total package. He has the ability to reach any student with his very approachable teaching style. Jay has many combat experiences from his International Law Enforcement Background. He is able to bring these street lessons into the class room for his students giving them a unique edge. Jay is well versed in all the ranges of combat - Kicking, Punching, Trapping, Grappling, & Weapons. He is also well versed in Street vs Sport vs Traditional applications of the martial arts, and can provide you with a unique experience tailored for your needs."
- Sifu Harinder Singh Sabharwal, Founder JKDAA, Motivational Speaker, and Blackbelt podcast host
"Jay Cooper has a level of understanding of the actuality of street combat that is unparalleled in the reality based community. His name deserves to be far better known. I would take his advice over many of the so called luminaries in that field, and one conversation or training session with him will convince you of the same"
- Sifu JB Jaeger, Maryland JKD
"Jay Cooper , The man with a heart of gold who will utilize his abundance of martial knowledge keeping it real for those who seek out The Way."
- Grand Master Darren Tibon, Angels Disciples, Stockton
"Well apart from his opinion on Batman V Superman being wrong,
Jay is the person to go to in order to get the questions you didn’t know you needed to ask of your training"
- Dr John Titchen Author, Self-Defense Expert and Practical Karate & DART Founder.
"I have been doing martial arts for over 30 plus years and have met many martial arts instructors over that time. I believe Jay Cooper is one of the best I have ever trained with. While his training sessions are demanding, they are also fun and engaging. Jay enthusiastically shares his vast martial arts knowledge. From his law enforcement experience, Jay knows what will work on the street as well as the legal ramifications. Jay has created a club of like-minded individuals with a passion for martial arts. I would highly recommend training with Jay Cooper."
