Our G3 class celebrated their journey at Free To Be Kidz, closing a very special chapter before their next adventure begins.

Over the past few weeks, this group has celebrated their final month with us through picnics, water play, a field trip, and many special moments together.

Our farewell celebration brought it all together: families gathered, portfolios were shared, and years of growth, learning, friendships, and beautiful memories could be seen and celebrated in one room.

We are incredibly proud of how much each of these children has grown and deeply grateful to the families who trusted us to be part of these important years of their childhood.

To our wonderful G3 children: as you head off to Kindergarten, we wish you a new journey filled with discoveries, friendships, and happiness. Keep being curious, confident, and wonderfully YOU. We will always be cheering for you!

A photo alone is a moment. A video alone is an action. A written note alone is a thought.

Put together, over weeks and months, they become something else: documentation, a record built with intention, pairing each moment with the form that shows it best, a photo, a video, or a few written words.

We also share this documentation with families along the way, so they can follow their child’s progress alongside us.

The portfolio families receive is simply that process gathered together: proof of a learning journey we’ve followed side by side.

In the Reggio Emilia approach, the environment is often called the third teacher.

That means the space itself plays an active role in children’s learning. Every shelf, basket, material, and open area is thoughtfully planned to invite exploration, encourage independence, and inspire curiosity.

When children can freely access meaningful materials in a welcoming environment, they naturally begin asking questions, making choices, and discovering the world around them.

Because sometimes, the most powerful lessons begin with an invitation to explore.

The Stampede spirit took over the school last week, and each class found its own way to explore the theme.

G1 spent time observing boots up close, drawing shapes, textures and small details.

G2 read a story on the same theme and illustrated a part of it through their own drawings.

G3 brought cowboy tales to life through a puppet show, using imagination and pretend play to become the characters themselves.

G3 visited the fire station to see the work of firefighters up close.

They climbed into the truck, tried out the hose and listened closely as firefighters talked about their job, each moment sparking new questions.

Educators were right there with them, helping turn every stop into a chance to observe, ask and connect.
