Singing can help reduce stress! You've heard that saying that music is good for your soul, right? Here's what a professor from University of London has to say about it:

"Singing has psychological benefits because of its normally positive effect in reducing stress levels through the action of the endocrine system which is linked to our sense of emotional well-being. Psychological benefits are also evident when people sing together as well as alone because of the increased sense of community, belonging and shared endeavor”, observes Professor Graham Welch, who has served as the Chair of Music Education at the Institute of Education at University of London.

Goodbye 2022 and welcome 2023! We hope everyone had a fantastic break. Lessons are in full swing and we are looking forward to a strong 2023 year!

The Christmas recital was a blast and such a fun time to be had by all. We had lots of smiles and positive feedback. Way to go students!!

Reminder that today is the last day to register for April RCM exams (for practical exams scheduled between April 17-22, theory not available). Spring RCM exam registration opens January 17.

Registration for the April The Royal Conservatory practical exams is open until January 10. This exam session is for PIANO students only and exams will be scheduled between April 17-22. Theory exams are not available in this session.
Thinking about taking an exam? Speak with your Alberta School Of Music teacher who will be able guide you through a successful experience. Our front desk staff is also here to assist you if you have any problems with the registration process.
