Welcome or welcome back…
Learning as I go. Trying not to throw spaghetti at the wall, to see what sticks…. When it comes to building a social media following.
I’m a yoga instructor.
The mountains fuel my soul.
I have 2 awesome kids, but so my best to keep them off of social media.
I love tea and trying new things.
I’d love to learn something about you. Comment below.

Thursday Theory or Thought
Today I thought I'd go with theory.
I talked about the 8 limbs of yoga, WAY back before Christmas. The Yamas are one of those 8 limbs.
What the heck are YAMAS??? They are the social restraint and moral codes of yoga. And there ar 5 of them. Let me explain a little more...
1. Non Violence (Ahimsa); or avoiding thoughts or actions that may harm others including nature. In otherwords treat yourself, others, and the world around you with kindness.
2. Non Stealing (Asteya) This goes beyond stealing of material items - it also is about not stealing from the environment and yourself. Be mindful of your consumption of natural resources, as well as the unauthorized appropriation of ideas and culture. Not to mention time you may be stealing from yourself and the things you actually want to spend time on.
3. Truthfulness (Satya): in words, thoughts, and actions. Beware of what you're saying to yourself internally, as well as what you tell the world. Say what you mean, mean what you say. But be honest with yourself, without judgement.
4. Non Possessiveness (Aparigraha): of material goods and people. Let go of expectations and attachments. Let go of jealousy. Let go of any expectation you have for "how a pose is supposed to be."
5. Fidelity/Celibacy (Brahmacharya): conservation of energy or moderation. Rest when you need rest. Find ways to relax and recharge, so you have the energy you need for the things that are important to you.

Wellness Wednesday. Wellness Habits.
Start your day with a guaranteed success. That way no matter what else happens in the day, you have 1 victory to celebrate. Make your bed after getting up.
We've all heard it before, Drink more water! Some say drink 1/2 your body weight in oz of water. If you're 100 lbs, drink 50 oz of water. If this seems like to big of a challenge, start by swapping one cup of pop or coffee with a glass of water. Then add on from there.
I'm sure everyone has heard from their mom, "eat your veggies!" The greener the better, like kale, spinach, or broccoli. If veggies is a new addition to your diet, starting with celery or cucumber is a good start to. Don't make it more difficult than it needs to be.
Not just good for your physical health, but your mental health as well, MOVE YOUR BODY for 30 minutes a day. Start with a daily walk, or try some yoga, heck a kitchen dance party is great too!
Don't let big goals overwhelm you. Little steps in the right direction, are still moving you in the right direction.
