How do you self-regulate when your children experience big emotions?⁠

After my daughter was born, improving my self-regulation became a priority. However, it is something that has never been easy for me. I find that the more I educate myself about toddlers and their developing brains, the more patience and compassion I have. I am also dedicated to starting a regular meditation practice. ⁠

Montessori Practical Life Activity - Flower Arranging 🌷

This is such a fun and simple practical life activity.

Full disclosure, by the time she got to the second vase, my daughter Olivia was more interested in picking apart and examining the tulips. At first I felt a little disappointed that she wasn’t as excited about this activity as I was, but then I realized that that is the whole point of activities like this.
