This week, we explored the last vowel in Letterland: letter U. The children practiced writing the letter and learned new words that begin with U, such as umbrella, unicorn, up, and under. With some careful pencil grip and lots of concentration, we worked hard to form the letter on our own.

This dinosaur lives in the swamp!

The children learned about swamp, forest, and desert habitats. We noticed the dinosaur had flippers and placed it in the swamp - great observation and thinking!

Welcoming 2026 at Braineer Academy, Brentwood!

Our little artists have been busy welcoming the New Year the best way they know how: with tiny hands, big creativity, and LOTS of sparkles. This beautiful “2026” art project is a perfect reminder that learning at Braineer Academy is always hands-on, joyful, and full of imagination.

Friday Zoo animals adventures in the Reindeer Room. Children choose their musical loose parts instruments and they danced with their zoo marching band. They visited zoo activities to discover where do the zoo animals live.

Fall adventure day. We were counting how many leaves landed on the pretend road. We saw a dinosaur fall land. It looked like the dinosaur need to find food before winter arrived.

Children’s books not only do reading frequently to and with children helps to develop early reading skills, but it’s also a great way to initiate conversations. Often the kids will point things out in books that remind them of something they’ve experienced. Other times they’ll comment on the illustrations or come up with questions and want to learn more about the subject of the book.☀️
