These reports led first to informal discussion and then systematic legal thought, articulated with greatest success in the eighth and ninth centuries by the master jurists Abu Hanifah, Malik ibn Anas, Al-Shafi‘i, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal, who are viewed as the founders of the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafiʿi, and Hanbali legal schools (madhhabs) of Sunni jurisprudence. Sharia, also known as "Shariah" or "Shari'a," is an Islamic religious law that governs not only religious rituals but also aspects of day-to-day life in Islam. There is extreme variation in how Sharia is interpreted and implemented among and within Muslim societies today.

الحمدو لله میں ایک سچا اور پکا مسلمان اور عاشق رسول صلی الله علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہونے کے ناطے آپ کو مطلع کرنا چاہتا ہوں کہ اس وقت ہمارے شہر میں آپکی زندگی بھر کی کمائی یعنی آپکا دین اور آپکی نسلوں کے ساتھ کھلوار کرنے کی کوششیں کی جارہی ہیں۔ آپکی دوست یاری اور کاروبار یہ سب باتیں اور چیزیں یہیں رہے جانی ہیں خدارا کسی بھی سیاسی عمل کا حصہ بننے سے پہلے یہ ضرور دیکھ لیں کہ کہیں اس سے ہمارے دین اور ہماری آنے والی نسلوں کے اوپر تو کوئی آنچھ نہیں آنی۔ باقی آپ خود سمجھ دار ہیں انشا ا لله میں اپنے اس اعلان کے بعد مطمعین ہوں کہ اس دیار غیر میں میں نے اپنی ایک اہم زمہ داری ادا کر دی ہے۔
