Al-Amal Education Foundation Calgary Islamic School Al-Amal Education Foundation operates and supports the NW Calgary Islamic School, Al-Amal Academy.

Al-Amal Education Foundation is currently seeking a dedicated and safety-minded School Bus Driver to join our team. This is an essential role that offers job security, a flexible schedule and allows you to make a difference on the front line by transporting our children to school safely.

Requirements

-Hold a valid (non-probationary) driver's license and a very good driving record.
-10-year drivers abstract with fewer than four demerit points (10-year commercial drivers abstract for licenses above a class 5)
-Have at least 3 years of driving experience (at least 1 in North America).
-Class 2 License
-Must have ‘S’ Endorsement on your driver’s license
-Undergo & pass a Ministry prescribed Medical examination, criminal record search, vulnerable sector clearance and other background checks.
-Some mechanical experience would be an asset.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: $120.00 per day

Schedule:
-Day shift
-Monday to Friday
-No weekends

Al-Amal Education Foundation is an Islamic-based non-profit organization in Calgary, AB. While supporting the first Islamic School in NW Calgary, Al-Amal Academy, we are also dedicated to providing opportunities for all young people in their pursuit of academic excellence and positive citizenship. Providing subsidized community programs is just one of the ways that we hope to support the development of the young Muslims of Calgary.
Our instructors are qualified, dedicated and hardworking. We are seeking one part-time Quran Instructor (6 hours/week to start).

General Description:

-Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill requirements of the school’s curriculum and reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
-Implement appropriate Islamic etiquettes cross-curricular.
-Establish and maintain efficient classroom management procedures.
-Consistently evaluate and record various aspects of students’ progress and communicate with parents consistently.
-Identify student needs and cooperate with other staff members in assessing and helping students develop into their highest potential.

Employment Requirements:

-2 years of experience in teaching in a classroom setting
-Must have solid and complete knowledge of classic Arabic
-Very strong knowledge of the Islamic faith and practice
-Must have strong knowledge of the Quran
-Very strong knowledge of Tajweed rules
-Fluency in English is required
