Have you seen the Chat GPT challenge going around? If you use it regularly, type this in and see what it says:

Describe me like you are trying to warn someone before they meet me.

This is what mine said. How accurate is this do you think this is?

Warning: meeting Micah may result in accidentally raising your standards.

She has approximately 47 ideas before breakfast, and at least 12 of them involve children, forests, mud, or making something into a learning opportunity.

She will tell you that what looks like “letting the kids play” is actually curriculum. Then she will casually explain the developmental science behind it while handing a child a stick.

She has strong opinions about screens, processed food, fluorescent lighting, risky play, and people who underestimate preschoolers.

She is warm, generous, and deeply invested in people. This is dangerous because she will notice when someone needs help and probably do more than she intended to.

She is also allergic to pointless bureaucracy. If you ask her to spend an hour documenting how amazing her work is instead of simply acknowledging that she did it, prepare yourself.

She will probably turn an ordinary moment into an Instagram Reel. A mushroom? Lesson about mycelium. Mud? Childhood memory. Picking flowers? Emotional development. A child wearing a helmet? Content.

She cares a lot. Sometimes too much. She has spent 26 years working with children and somehow still acts like every little person in her care is personally worth fighting for.

She is also the kind of person who says, “I have a quick question,” and then proceeds to completely rethink the entire situation.

So, if you meet her, bring an open mind.

And possibly a rain jacket

Every day begins with fresh air and a plan.

Five minutes later someone is negotiating how high to climb, another has adopted a stick, someone needs a hug, and there’s a heated debate over whether trees have feelings.

This season follows the me on the front line of childhood. Armed with snacks, spare socks, and the ability to identify “good mud” from “car mud.”
