Vote Women Vote

It’s time to organize and activate - a new national non-profit that will mobilize women to exercise their votes to influence the outcomes of elections in Canada.

There are organizations across the country for women on boards, asking women to run for office, women in industry, but there is no organization that I am aware of that focuses on women voting. We are 51% of the population and we need women to understand the power of their vote and ability to demand more and better from politicians, political parties and government.

To take part in the first organizing meeting, please DM for a link to take part in a poll to determine our first meeting day and time. This meeting will be to answer questions about Vote Women Vote and to identify individuals interested in starting the organization.

We need women from across the country, from east to west and north to south, to take part. Women from all backgrounds and with all life experiences to take part. Women who speak different languages, women who have lived in Canada for one month, one year, who were born here. Indigenous women, Black women, trans women, LGBTQ women, marginalized women - ALL women.

It’s not enough to talk about what’s wrong and what needs to change. We need to act and empowering women to understand the electoral process, the value and weight of their votes, and for politicians, political parties and governments to understand our collective and individual power in influencing the outcome of elections.
