Our classroom continues to be a place of inclusion, joy, and growth, and we feel so lucky to share these moments together! 💛

🌟 Meet Rosangela — Owner & Director of Learn and Play Preschool 🌟

Hi everyone! I’m Rosangela, the proud Owner and Director of Learn and Play Preschool. I earned my Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Mount Royal University in 2004, and I’ve been dedicated to helping little learners grow ever since.

I’ve always known this was my path — I was the kid who played “teacher” with my cousins for hours, dreaming of having a classroom of my own one day. That dream became a reality in 2018, when I opened Learn and Play, and it has truly been one of the greatest joys of my life.

I come from a big, loud, loving Italian family, and family is at the heart of everything I do. I’m married, a mom to three amazing daughters, and a cat‑mom to two furry troublemakers. I love all things Disney, my favourite colour is purple, and I absolutely love watching my two younger daughters play soccer — cheering them on at every practice, game, and tournament. They’re incredible players, and being their biggest fan is one of my favourite roles.
I also love watching movies and going to plays, especially when my eldest daughter is performing — she’s a pretty incredible actress, and seeing her shine on stage fills me with so much pride.

I love working with children because they bring me so much joy. Early childhood has always felt magical to me, and I feel honoured to be part of these foundational years. Learn and Play is more than a preschool — it’s my extended family. I love getting to know your children and your families just as you get to know mine. I truly believe it takes a village, and I’m so grateful that at Learn and Play, we’ve built a pretty amazing one.

I can’t wait to continue learning, growing, and creating magical moments with your kiddos every day. 💜

Today’s Teacher Spotlight is on Ms. Adriana 💙

Hi! My name is Adriana. I have been working at Learn and Play for a few months and have truly enjoyed getting to know all the children. I have a passion for sensory play and believe that some of the best learning comes from exploring, creating and getting their hands (or clothes) a little messy.

I’m a big LEGO collector and love colouring and all things imaginative. I’ve even been known to dress up as a Disney princess for fun, because I believe play and creativity doesn’t have an age limit. I also love wearing mismatched socks daily as a reminder that it’s okay to be a little silly.

I also love spending time with my dog, Athena, and enjoying reading marathons (fantasy is my favourite). I may be a little quiet at times, but I have a big heart for my students and a playful spirit that comes out in the classroom every day. I feel so lucky to be a part of the team and can’t wait to make more memories. 💙

Today’s Teacher Spotlight is on Ms. Bella 🩷

Hi everyone!
My name is Bella, and I have been at Learn and Play Preschool since 2024. I’ve always loved working with children, and being a big sister is one of the roles that shaped that love the most. It feels effortless for me to join in on play, because I truly feel like such a kid at heart!

A little bit about me is that I’m Italian, and my Nonna is my best friend in the whole world. Together, we have a Morkie puppy named Dolly, named after Nonna’s favourite singer, Dolly Parton. In my free time, I love playing guitar, writing poetry, reading classic literature, and listening to music. You’ll usually find me listening to Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac, or The Beatles.

In the classroom, I especially enjoy creating—from building structures out of magnet tiles to crafting using various materials. I’m always thinking of new ideas! Every day is a new adventure in our classroom, and I always look forward to watching how the kids grow and learn throughout the year. The preschool is my favourite place to be, and I’m so blessed to be a part of the Learn and Play family. 🩷

Hello!

My name is Besa. I’ve been working at Learn and Play Preschool for the past few years, and it truly feels like a second home to me. I’m full of love and believe in spreading it every single day. I love making children feel like I’m their friend, not just their teacher, so they always feel safe, happy, and understood. I’m very easy going and believe that learning grows best in a warm and joyful environment.

Outside of school, I enjoy the simple things in life like quiet time with my family, a good cup of Turkish coffee, and slow mornings. I have two brothers, a sweet dog named Nala who keeps life fun, and I absolutely love fried bread with feta cheese for breakfast. It’s the little things that make life extra special. ❤️
