Our Willow students had an exciting soccer day!

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful volunteer mom, Megan, who generously shared her time, energy, and soccer skills with our students. The children had so much fun learning the fundamentals of the game while staying active, working together, and building confidence.

At The Learning Child Montessori Academy, we believe that meaningful education extends far beyond academics. Sports give children opportunities to develop coordination, focus, perseverance, teamwork, discipline, and respect, all values that beautifully complement the Montessori philosophy.

We are especially grateful when members of our TLCMA parent community share their talents with our children. These experiences remind our students that their community is also a place for learning, connection, and inspiration.

Our very own Chef Jeff, a black belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor and instructor, together with Ms. Isla, a multi-award-winning Judo Canada athlete, shared their knowledge, skills, and love for martial arts with our students.

More than just learning movements and techniques, our children were introduced to the values at the heart of martial arts which are discipline, respect, focus, confidence, self-control, and perseverance which also resonate deeply with the core values of Montessori education.

At The Learning Child Montessori Academy, we believe education goes beyond academics. We intentionally create experiences that expose children to different skills, interests, and role models, helping them discover what they are capable of while developing strong minds, healthy bodies, and respectful hearts.

A big thank you to another amazing mom volunteer who shared her expertise with our students through some fun and exciting science experiments!

There’s something special about learning from people who bring real-life knowledge and experience into the classroom. The children were curious, engaged, and full of questions!

We are so grateful to our parent volunteers for being part of our learning community and helping us show our children that learning is everywhere.
