Footprints for Learning Charter Academy

Footprints for Learning Charter Academy Footprints for Learning Charter Academy (FLCA) is a K-12 Alberta-based charter school.

At Footprints, we believe that children are more than people to be molded; they are young minds waiting to be unfolded! As we create an optimal environment for meeting the developmental needs of our students, we look to those values which cultivate success:

Heritage – Following in the footsteps of those before us, we are mindful of the groundwork our predecessors have laid for our prosperity . Their blueprints for success should be taught to and revered by our students.

Innovation – Combining the best resources and teaching methods available, we will give our students every opportunity to advance in their individual learning.

Progress – As our students step out into the real world we are confident that they will embrace the challenges of the future and pioneer in new discoveries!

Our “Skills and Values” program at FLCA is a part of our Health & Wellness curriculum but also plays a special role in our entrepreneurial and global mindset programming as well. Our staff and students focus on a specific value for the month, and then students celebrate what they’ve learned at our monthly assemblies.

Our skill and value for the month of September was CRITICAL THINKING…Let’s engage in what we are learning!

TOMORROW we will be hosting our first Skills and Values assembly of the year and parents are welcome to attend! Our Elementary classes will gather together in the gym at 9:10am and Grades 6 to 12 students will meet at 10:50am.
