Teaching in a Christian school is a unique and deeply meaningful calling — and the AB Teacher Convention is a day set apart to honour and invest in the people who live it out every day.

Held Friday, October 23, 2026 at Airdrie Christian Academy in Airdrie, AB, this convention is designed for educators who want to grow professionally while staying rooted in their faith. From an inspiring keynote to practical 55-minute workshops led by experienced, Christ-centered educators, every part of the day is built to send you back to your classroom encouraged, equipped, and renewed.

And if you have expertise to share, we would love to hear from you — workshop proposals are welcome from clear communicators with practical strategies and a heart aligned with the ACSIWC Statement of Faith.

Registration opens September 1, 2026.

Father God, we lift up the administrators who are navigating the final weeks while already planning for next year. Grant them wisdom to prioritize, grace to lead well, and strength to persevere through the busyness. Amen.

In our schools, in our families, and in our communities, we echo this prayer. We have seen your hand at work in the lives of our students, in the dedication of our teachers, in the resilience of our families. Teach us to trust as Habakkuk trusted, to hope as he hoped, and to see Your hand at work in our own time. Amen.

This week, we celebrate students who keep trying, even when the finish line feels far away. Your effort, resilience, and courage do not go unnoticed. Keep going—you've got this.

The best teachers never stop learning. Each summer is an opportunity to return to the classroom with fresh eyes, renewed energy, and ideas worth trying. Dr. Christian Klaue, whose In The Know series has guided our reading all year, has selected five books for the teachers in our member schools this summer.

📗Teach Like a Human by David Mulder is a timely reminder that the most powerful thing in any classroom is still a fully present, deeply caring educator.

📘Just Tell Them by Zach Groshell pushes back against the pendulum of discovery-based learning and makes a compelling case for clear, direct instruction done well.

📗Hopes for School by Jennifer Casa-Todd invites teachers to reconnect with the dreams and convictions that brought them to the classroom in the first place.

📘Legacy of Learning by Meghan Lawson challenges educators to think beyond curriculum and consider the lasting impression they are leaving on students, colleagues, and communities.

📗Flourishing in the Classroom by Martha MacCullough weaves together faith and pedagogy in a rich exploration of what it looks like to teach for the flourishing of every child.

Share this with a teacher who deserves a great summer read.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. — Colossians 3:23

The finish line is in sight. May you continue up to the end with excellence and a heart that honors God.

What does it look like to raise up a generation of leaders whose character, habits, and actions reflect the servant leadership of Christ? That is exactly what the Manitoba Student Leadership Conference is all about.

This two-day retreat experience at Camp Arnes in Arnes, MB brings together students in grades 8-12 from Christian schools across Manitoba to be equipped with the skills to lead others well — not through worldly ambition, but through a Christ-centered vision of what leadership is meant to be.

And the students who attend? They leave changed.

October 21-22, 2026 at Camp Arnes, Arnes, MB.

Registration opens September 1. We would love to see your students there.

Lord, we pray for our students as they finish strong. Give them focus for final projects, calm for exams, and confidence as they complete this chapter. May they see how far they've come and trust You with what's ahead. Amen.

This is the promise we hold onto in our schools, in our families, and in our own lives—that God is faithful, that He is good, and that His plan for us is far better than we could imagine. May we walk in humility, trust in His timing, and rest in the knowledge that He has already seen us.

This week, we are thankful for families who continue to support their children and their schools through the final busy weeks. Your partnership makes all the difference. Thank you for walking alongside us.
