We’re thrilled to share that Musica Viva Australia has been awarded the National Luminary Award for Organisations at the APRA AMCOS / Australian Music Centre Awards.

It’s a wonderful recognition of the people, artists and communities behind our work, and the commitment to excellence that drives everything we do.

We were also delighted to see members of the MVA community recognised throughout the evening, including Hannah Lee Tungate and our late colleague Michael Sollis in the State Luminary category, In Schools artist Nick Russoniello - Saxophonist, Nat Bartsch, who recently toured regionally with MVA, and FutureMaker Freya Schack-Arnott.

It was a privilege to celebrate alongside so many of Australia’s composers, musicians and music organisations, and particularly special to have the award presented to us by FutureMaker Aura Go - pianist.

We’re incredibly proud to share this recognition with our artists, colleagues and community.

Introducing Power Grooves! This brand new show joins the lineup in 2027 bringing rhythm to life using drums, percussion, electronic tracks and found sounds. Multi-instrumentalists Niki and Thea demonstrate how rhythm can communicate stories, inspire creativity and bring people together. Students are invited to see, hear and feel rhythm in new ways while discovering that music can be made from almost anything.
