This week I received the loveliest message from a parent of one of my Year 3 students who recently joined the Clever Fox program. With his permission, I'm sharing it because it captures the heart of what we do here:

This is exactly what we aim for at Clever Fox — not just preparing students for selective, scholarship, ICAS, and NAPLAN exams, but building a genuine love of writing that lasts beyond any single assessment.

Since founding Clever Fox in 2015, 90% of our students have gained entry to selective high schools, achieved Distinctions/High Distinctions in ICAS, top bands in NAPLAN and secured more than $ 6 million in scholarships. We achieve this by building genuine writing skills — vocabulary, original figurative language, varied sentence structures, persuasive techniques, and the confidence that comes from real understanding. When students develop a genuine passion for writing, the results follow naturally.

It has been an absolute privilege to guide Ivy and her brother, Triet, over the years. ✨ A proud moment at Clever Fox Education! ✨

One of our bright Year 2 students recently completed a persuasive writing assessment at one of Sydney’s top private schools, with just 5 minutes to plan and 30 minutes to write.

She produced a well-structured essay with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion, supported by thoughtful ideas and strong reasoning. It’s incredibly rewarding to see our students confidently applying the techniques and skills developed in our classes.

Her teacher noted that with continued focus on expanding vocabulary and incorporating more varied sentence structures, her writing is well on its way to being at the very top of her grade.

At Clever Fox Education, we are so proud of her progress — particularly her growing confidence and independence as a writer — and we can’t wait to see what she achieves next! 🌟
