Happy NAIDOC Week!

NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate, recognise, and honour the rich history, cultures, achievements, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples—the First Peoples of Australia.

It is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about Indigenous cultures, listen to stories that have been passed down for generations, and acknowledge the resilience, strength, and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

As we celebrate NAIDOC Week, let us take time to reflect on the importance of respect, reconciliation, inclusion, and cultural understanding. Together, we can build stronger communities by embracing diversity and learning from one another.

As migrants living in Australia, we are privileged to share this beautiful country and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

School holidays කියන්නේ දරුවන්ට relax වෙන්න, family එකත් එක්ක quality time ගත කරන්න, ඒ වගේම learning continue කරන්න හොඳම කාලයක්.
මේ holiday එකේ screens only නොවෙයි... balance එකක් තියාගන්න උත්සාහ කරමු.
Reading is a must!
හැම දවසකම 20–30 minutes reading කරන්න encourage කරන්න. Story books, library books, comics, magazines – දරුවා කැමති ඕනෑම දෙයක් කියවන්න දෙන්න.
Follow up on learning
School එකේ ඉගෙන ගත්ත දේවල් ටිකක් revise කරන්න.

පියෙක් යනු දරුවන්ගේ ජීවිතයේ පළමු වීරයා, ආරක්ෂකයා, මඟපෙන්වන්නා සහ නිහඬ ශක්තියයි. පියවරුන්ගේ ආදරය බොහෝවිට වචනවලින් නොව, ඔවුන්ගේ කැපකිරීම්, වෙහෙස සහ වගකීම් තුළින් පෙනේ.

🇱🇰 ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පියවරුන්ගේ දිනය සෑම වසරකම ජූනි මාසයේ තුන්වන ඉරිදා සමරනු ලැබේ.

🇦🇺 ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ පියවරුන්ගේ දිනය සෑම වසරකම සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේ පළමු ඉරිදා සමරනු ලැබේ.
