STHS - Class of 1975

Hi Class of '75 ... On 7 November, our former Language teacher, Harry Opperman, provided some words for our 50th anniversary reunion. Unfortunately these were not received, but will now be forwarded to the Class of '75 for whom we have contact details.

Harry closed his remarks with the following, which seem very poignant in light of the recent terrible event at Bondi Beach:

" ... and I finish with a thought from one of the sages of my civilisation who taught some 2000 years ago during the Roman destruction of ancient Israel

“ it is daily acts of kindness which will bring about the redemption of humankind”

And doesn’t the world today need those daily acts of Kindness?

Because the most important language in the world, is that of our common humanity!

So, as you continue your journey through life, may you strive to improve the lot of a suffering humanity, and in the words of Abraham:
“To be a blessing to one another”

Long may you and your families and children prosper and succeed!

Hi Class of '75 .. Links to the online photobook have now been sent out by email, SMS or Facebook Messenger. We hope you enjoy looking back on the celebration day, and even further back to some historical pics of 50 or so years ago. In order to get the link to the free online version of the book we had to order a hard copy .. and I received it today! 10" x 10", hardcover. 28 pages of pics. Hi Class of '75!

Its been a busy few weeks since the highly successful and appreciated 50 year reunion at Oatley Hotel - 42 former students and 5 former teachers attended the event.

The Team has been working on a photographic record of the event. All attendees, and those who were unable to attend and for whom we have contact details, will receive a link to an online version of the photobook currently being finalised. The Cover of the book and a sample pic are included in this post. Watch out for that link in the near future!
