Winter is a season where colds and viruses tend to move quickly through early learning environments. With young children still building their immune systems and learning hygiene habits, simple routines can make a meaningful difference.
Handwashing, cough etiquette and not sharing drink bottles all help reduce the spread, along with keeping little ones home when they are unwell.
Small consistent habits protect the whole community and help children recover with the rest they need.

Happy National Vegemite Day! π¦πΊ

There were plenty of proud smiles, a few very generous servings and lots of enthusiastic taste testing along the way. π
Who else started their day with Vegemite on toast? ππ€

Through play, children develop communication skills, creativity, confidence, problem solving abilities, social connections and so much more.
What may look like βjust playβ is actually meaningful learning happening every single day. π§©π¨π§Έ

Out in nature, the simplest things become treasures. Flowers, leaves, sticks, all carefully collected in tiny baskets and carried with so much pride. πΏπΈπ
Time outside gives children space to breathe, move, explore and soak up the world around them. Fresh air, sunlight and open ended play all working quietly in the background to support growing bodies and curious minds.
There is something so grounding about letting childhood unfold outdoors, one little find at a time πΌ

Young children are capable of so much more than we sometimes realise.
Encouraging independence helps children build confidence, responsibility and a sense of belonging within their environment.
Simple everyday routines like washing hands, packing away belongings or helping with meals all play an important role in developing lifelong skills. πβ¨
