UPDATE | Sydney Water outage will impact your property settlements
Sydney Water would like to advise that its conveyancer and solicitor services for property settlements will be down on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 December for system maintenance. All services will be back to normal at 8am on Wednesday 10 December.
Services that will be affected:
- Billing and accounts systems wonât be available. You wonât be able to purchase certificates, documents or diagrams from your Property Link broker during the outage.
- Conveyancing certificate updates will be frozen.
- Sydney Waterâs customer enquiry line 13 20 92 will not be available.
How you can prepare?
Sydney Water encourages all conveyancers and solicitors to complete as many tasks as possible before the outage.
Please also avoid calling the 1300 361 369 phone service during the outage, as delays are expected and only limited information will be available, such as verbal account balances only that are backdated to Friday 5 December.

Update | Settlement Time Changes
With daylight savings coming into effect last weekend, PEXA has announced changes to PEXA settlement slots effective until Sunday 5 April 2026.
During the daylight savings period NSW workspaces will have two additional settlement slots at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm AEDT.
Important: The Workspace must be set for either of these times before 4:00 pm AEDT.

Update | AGM 2025
Its official, the AIC NSW, AGM was held on Tuesday 9 th October 2025.
After the President, CEO and Treasurerâs Report were made it came time for the results of the Board election.
4 members (Ann Blannin- Ferguson, Lauren Leathwood, Jennie Tonner; David Winning) retired at the AGM. Ann Blannin-Ferguson in accordance with the Constitution was not eligible to nominate for a further term.
With 9 valid nominations (thank you to all the members who had nominated) for the 4-vacant positions, at the close of the electronic poll the following candidates were elected to those positions:
- Judy Bliss
- Lauren Leathwood
- Jennie Tonner
- David Winning
Congratulation to Judy Bliss on her election to the Board and to Lauren, Jennie and David on their re- election.
A special acknowledgement and thanks to Ann Blannin-Ferguson with her commitment to the objectives of AIC NSW and the extensive work over 10 years on her advocacy, stakeholder engagement and leadership during her tenure as President.
The President, on behalf of AICNSW extended thanks to all who have contributed to the 2024/2025 Board for their work during the last 12 months.
After the AGM a meeting was held of the new Board and the following officers were elected:
- President Jennie Tonner
- Vice President Kimberley Winton
- Treasurer Lauren Leathwood

Update | Inquiry into competition in electronic conveyancing
The New South Wales (NSW) government is conducting an inquiry into competition in electronic conveyancing (eConveyancing). This inquiry is being led by the Select Committee on Competition Reforms in Electronic Conveyancing, which was established by the NSW Parliament.The inquiry aims to examine the development of a competitive market in eConveyancing and address potential monopolies, particularly concerning the incumbent platform PEXA.
