Today we bid farewell to our Centre Manager Miss Elise!

After three wonderful years it’s time for a new chapter, Miss Elise would like to say a huge thank you to our local community for being such a big support over the years.

“Milestones Greenway has been a home away from home, thank you to our wonderful families for entrusting me to care for your children and thank you to our amazing team for being the best educators in the sector!”

As the weather cools down, little bodies need warm, nourishing food to keep them going 🍛

Our new autumn menu is filled with comforting, wholesome meals designed to support your child’s wellbeing and growing appetite.

And yes... we’re often told children try foods here they won’t touch at home 👀

We’ve even shared a few simple tips to help make mealtimes easier for you at home too.

Today we share a huge congratulations to Miss Amy who is officially Diploma Qualified!

Miss Amy joined us 13 months ago as a newly qualified certificate lll educator with a passion and an eagerness to learn and grow, and she has done just that. Miss Amy has completed her Diploma within this time and has shone through every second, learning, growing and supporting our service along the way.

Congratulations Miss Amy, you are a true shining star we are so proud of you!

Tucked away in cosy corners of our studios, these inviting space are where imaginations soar, friendships grow, and a lifelong love of reading begins.

With soft cushions, warm lighting, and shelves filled with engaging stories, our Book Nook offers children a calm retreat to explore new worlds and investigate emotions.

From group story time adventures to quiet independent reading moments, these special spaces support:

🌱 Listening and comprehension skills
🌱 Creativity and imagination
🌱 Emotional understanding

We believe fostering a love of books early sets the foundation for confident learners. Whether children are turning pages independently, sharing a story with a friend, or listening intently to an educator’s voice, every moment in our Book Nook is building essential skills for life.

The Kind Hearts Program 💙

Helping our children explore community, kindness and recognition is an important part of our services curriculum. Our newly formed Kind Hearts Program helps our little learners connect with our local community, this week our children chose to share recognition for their favourite doctors!

Philosophy Spotlight ✨

Community is a key element in our services philosophy, supporting our children to feel a sense of community whilst in service, learn how to be an active and positive member of our local community and giving back to the community are themes we value deeply.

Shared sustained thinking projects allow our children to build on this sense of community, investigate, collaborate and share idea's. Learning is evident within our learning studio's and heard throughout the day as we observe children's discussions.

We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Wandana Aboriginal Education in 2026 🌱

Inspired and guided by Aboriginal Elders, our Wandana Aboriginal Education PD Program is a precious gift of rare knowledge and unique insights. Respectfully and mindfully crafted from over 35 years of working closely with Aboriginal Elders & community Leaders. Supporting bringing our services Reconciliation Action Plan to life, embedding Indigenous perspectives and enhancing the cultural knowledge of our children, educators and families.

This year we are joined by our new cultural champion Kirra. Kirra born from the Dharawal Nation meaning dancing leaf, a name that holds great meaning to our service. Not a minute of the day goes by where you can't hear music and see dance in action across our learning environments, we are so grateful to have Kirra helping us lead the way in Reconciliation this year.

Meet one of the wonderful faces behind our centre, Miss Nina! 💙

Miss Nina's comforting, supportive and gentle approach ensures our little learners have a safe space to have their voices heard and embedded, something Nina is incredibly passionate about! 🌱

Miss Nina is our services Educational Leader and can be found in our Prep room leading the way alongside Miss Honika. Miss Nina is a passionate ECT with a love for the creative arts, investigative thinking and supports out little learners to be primary school ready through collaborative learning, deep discussions and her supportive teaching style.

Something we take great pride in at Milestones Preschool is deep connection with our families. A core part of our service philosophy is how we value our families as our children's first and most important teacher, we love having our families share input and feedback into our service! Collaboration is the first step to creating safe, secure and supportive environments for our little learners ✨
