Australia Student Visa Grants for Offshore Nepalese Students – December 2025

Recent data indicates that the Postgraduate Research sector recorded the highest visa grant rate at 70.6%, despite having the lowest number of applications. The Higher Education sector continues to dominate in terms of application volume and total grants. In contrast, the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector faces significant challenges, with a grant rate of only 18.4%, reflecting a high number of lodgements but very low approval outcomes.

Important Update – Australian Student Visa (DHA)

The Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has updated Country Evidence Levels, which may affect student visa assessment and documentation requirements.

Updated Evidence Levels:
• Level 3: India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Philippines
• Level 2: Sri Lanka, Viet Nam
• Level 1: China, Malaysia, Indonesia

Applicants from Level 2 and Level 3 countries should ensure their visa applications are strong, genuine, and well-documented.
