The classroom is a dynamic place where students have the potential to challenge and expand their knowledge. However, for many students, the classroom does not provide the one-on-one support some students require to fully understand and meaningfully engage with their subject area. One-on-one tuition, as Riser (2015) argues allows for students to be extended or supported
in their learning using the skills, capabilities and knowledge they possess. As tuition occurs outside the classroom space, greater attention can be paid to enhancing and building student knowledge to improve their capacity for success (Riser, 2015, p16). Research across the field of education tells us that students perform better when they work one-on-one with an expert teacher. As a qualified and professionally accredited teacher, it is my aim to ensure that all students are equipped with the best skills to undertake their learning and achieve success both within and outside the classroom.
