Room Leader Position, Cockatoo Family Day Care

The position being advertised is 3-4 full days, working 10 hours per day, between Monday and Friday, starting ASAP in West Pymble.
The Facility
This is a beautiful purpose built, family run childcare facility in the West Pymble area. The beautifully resourced facility is filled with natural light and offers plenty of space. It boasts 2 large, fantastic outdoor areas for the children to play and explore. With a 1:4 educator to child ratio and a maximum of 8 children per day, we have created an intimate, relaxed family like environment. Easy free all day street parking and bus stop at front door.
The Opportunity
This fantastic full time/part time, permanent position offers the great opportunity to form close relationships with the children and their families. Diploma or Cert 3 qualified educator, you will work alongside only 2 experienced educators. 10 hour shifts per day, 3-4 days per week, including 2 hours per week off the floor programming time.
The role
Lead the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection on play-based learning programs (EYLF)
Document children’s learning through observations and daily journals
Ability to work independently and in a small team environment.
Ability to develop strong relationships with the children, families, and colleagues
Provide a safe and stimulating play environment
Essential: passion for children, be proactive, and ability to have fun!
The Ideal Educator
To apply for this role, you will have had experience working in Early Childcare and have a great teamwork skills and able to work independently. You must have a Diploma Qualification or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood. In addition, you will have an in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
A current First Aid and CPR certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
Experience and knowledge of the National Quality Framework – Law & Regulations, EYLF and Standards
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Current NSW Working With Children Check
