The children enjoyed their monthly visit to Moran Aged Care, where they were welcomed with a beautifully prepared morning tea shared alongside the residents. The relaxed atmosphere gave everyone a chance to chat, laugh, and build on the friendships that have been growing throughout the year.
After morning tea, the room came alive with a lively balloon‑play session that had both children and residents smiling from ear to ear. The simple game created moments of connection, teamwork, and pure joy as generations came together in a way that felt natural and heartwarming. These visits continue to strengthen the bond between our children and the Moran community, reminding us how meaningful intergenerational experiences can be.

Oak Tree proudly supported Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea by hosting a cheerful cupcake sale, raising funds for the Cancer Council’s vital research and support services. The event brought staff, and families together in a simple but meaningful act of generosity.
This fundraiser reflects Oak Tree’s commitment to community connection and making a positive impact. Sharing cupcakes reminded us how small contributions can make a real difference for Australians affected by cancer.

The children at Oak Tree enjoyed a visit from the firefighters at Miranda Fire Station. They learnt what to do in an emergency starting off with calling 000. They then practiced Stop Drop Cover and Roll and Get down low and go,go,go! They were eager to have a short go on the hose before being gifted Paw Patrol Brigade Activity books to take home. 👨‍🚒🚒⛑️

Maymar Water Festival
Today we introduced the children to the Water Festival, explaining to them that it's a time for cleansing, renewel, and welcoming the New Year in Maymar culture. The children and educators enjoyed participating in the festival by dressing up in traditional costume and blessing eachother with water. We also had fun time using the water pumps.
