Hello there Tuesday! You are glorious. Crisp! But glorious. For many educators here in Australia, it is a very full period of time from a workload perspective. Remember to get out of your own head and acknowledge what is great. Even the little little things, like an oil painting of a sky. Take your mind off what feels like a lot for a moment and give yourself the opportunity to recalibrate. As for me...I’ve looked at the sunrise, given myself a brain break and I’m jumping back into report supervision.

I love that despite the really hard days in our world of school life, there are really joyous ones. I don’t talk about the realities of my work life on here often because I don’t think it’s in the best interest of the families I serve. I will say this. My heart was bursting on a field trip last week. The looks on the children’s faces as they fed the wallabies and watched the cockatoos fly in was pure gold.

With today being Mother’s Day, I am reminded of my why. The reason I work on my wellbeing. The reason I attempt to be consistent in the way I show up each day. The reason I work at being clear on priorities. My children. They watch, they learn and they develop based on what they see. I want this to be a strong example of how to live in this world and be true to yourself, whilst serving others. What is your Why?

Starting the term as I intend to finish. Anyone who has worked with me over the last decade knows this is my standard lunch...however, this personalised jar fanciness was a really lovely Christmas gift I received last year. The ‘l’ has fallen off, but I still love it.

It is so important to have people in your life who lift you up, challenge you to be better and are an Inspiration. This gorgeous lady has been doing all those things for me for 27 years. This morning she sent through this photo of us with the message ‘I am going to smash this term stress free!!! ‘ Do you know who your growth people are? Thank you for being the family I choose 😘. To everyone else returning to Term Two, I wish you a stress free term.
