Father’s Day is more than an event to us.
We want our children to grow up knowing where they belong — surrounded not only by their own families, but by other children, families, educators and grandparents who become part of their community.

At Butterflies, we see ourselves as a relational hub, bringing people together and creating opportunities for genuine connections to grow.

📚 Book Week at Butterflies 📚
This Book Week, we brought some of our children’s favourite stories to life! We explored The Little Yellow Digger, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and Who Sank the Boat?, along with other books chosen by the children. Through reading, exploring, dramatic play and acting as our favourite book characters, the children immersed themselves in wonderfully language-rich learning experiences. So much imagination, storytelling, laughter and fun! 🌟📖

Back to Basics ❤️
After working in different childcare centres, including large chain centres, When it came time to create my own centre, My philosophy wasn’t about having fancy projects. So often, those are more for adults than for the children, and sometimes educators end up making them instead.

For me, childcare is about the basics.
It’s about wiping little tears (and little noses), giving a cuddle when someone misses Mum, sitting with a child when they’re having a hard day, celebrating the little wins, and making them feel safe, loved, and seen.

Sometimes, getting back to basics is exactly what children need.
