Did you know that Remedial Massage may be eligible for Private Health Insurance benefits? π
In Australia, some Private Health Insurance Extras policies may allow eligible clients to claim part of the cost of Remedial Massage.
So, which practitioners can become recognised Health Fund Providers β and what role does ATMS play?
πΏ What is ATMS?
ATMS (Australian Traditional-Medicine Society) is a not-for-profit professional membership association supporting practitioners and students across the natural medicine and complementary therapy industry in Australia.
ATMS supports the profession through professional standards and ethics, education and professional development, industry information and advocacy, and member support.
π‘ Is ATMS an insurance company?
No. ATMS is a professional association, not an insurance company.
Eligible practitioners who hold ATMS Accredited Membership and meet the individual requirements of participating Health Funds may be able to pursue recognition as a Health Fund Provider.
However, ATMS membership does not automatically guarantee Health Fund Provider status. Requirements and recognition criteria may vary between Health Funds.
