This term we did a . The kids chose something that they wanted to learn or improve on at home and kept a log of their progress. I took my 20 hour challenge very seriously and made this dress... and matching scrunchie! It was a lot harder than I expected and it even resulted in the purchase of a new sewing machine. It also required A LOT of help from my mum. Since making this dress I have made two more! They are Christmas themed of course. Photos to follow!

Always Was, Always Will Be.
This NAIDOC Week we celebrated our Indigenous Australians with some Aboriginal inspired art. We respect the sacred nature of dot painting to our indigenous people and honour them with these.
Thanks for the inspo!

Thrilled with how our bushfires artworks turned out. The use of oil pastel over the acrylic paint was so effective and simple.

Turns out finger painting never gets old! We have been studying bushfires this term so to celebrate a term well done we decided to get a little messy and use the finger painting method to create flames. This is only step one of the process. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

To celebrate all our students made their own bunting flag. That’s over 1300 flags! The theme for the bunting was learning together. I just love what they did with the theme! @ Sydney, Australia

Our artworks have really started taking shape. The kids really enjoyed learning about Georges Seurat and couldn’t wait to get started. I kept this project very open ended, letting the kids choose anything they wanted to draw. Some pictures definitely worked better than others 😂
