Dulwich High School of Visual Arts & Design caters for students in Years 7 to 12 and delivers a high quality comprehensive education, as well as providing specialist visual arts and design courses. DHSVAD is a co-educational, comprehensive high school with a selective stream in Visual Arts and Design. The school is committed to developing creative, innovative learners who are equipped to achieve their personal best academically, intellectually, socially and emotionally.

The Arts Unit's Boys Vocal Program has begun! 🎶

Students from DHSVAD will be taking part in the 3-Day Vocal Workshop run by The Arts Unit. Students will be recording an original song and music video, granting them a fantastic musical experience.

Support Unit students participated in the Mirri Mirri cultural awareness program that supports disabled youth and develops workplace skills as they transition to post school life. A big thank you to Miss Mora for facilitating the special incursion for our students!

In Concert 2026

This annual concert series features a massed choir of secondary students drawn from schools across the state, performing alongside the NSW Public Schools Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra and Singers.

The 2026 series features acclaimed Australian musical theatre performer Lucy Durack as guest artist. Best known for originating the role of Glinda in the Australian production of Wicked, Durack has appeared in numerous leading musical theatre roles across Australia.

Bringing together hundreds of young musicians on one stage, In Concert is one of the major performing arts experiences delivered by The Arts Unit, NSW Department of Education.

From the 3rd–26th of June, DHSVAD will be participating in the national The Push-Up Challenge as part of our Push for Better mental health initiative.

The goal is to complete 3,307 push-ups over 24 days, representing every Australian lost to su***de in 2024. Participants may also choose to complete the half target (1,654 push-ups) or modified alternatives.

Support Unit students are engaged in a weekly Work Experience Program at Avenue Botany, they engage with tasks aimed to increase their capacity and independence in an inclusive community.

Students learn valuable skills such as travel training and how to behave appropriately in public settings as well as how to do certain jobs. We are preparing our students for their post-school lives when they graduate.

Last Friday, our Prefects joined over 400 student leaders from 40+ public schools across Greater Sydney, Newcastle and Illawarra at Fort Street High School for the annual Future Leaders Conference. The day featured inspiring keynote speakers, a panel discussion and interactive workshops.
