At Making A Difference we maintain our commitment in prioritising the safety, health and wellbeing of all children in our care. We champion and model a child safe culture at all levels in our service and operation. We listen to and respect all children in our care, while upholding their dignity and rights.
Last week there was increased conversation in the community about the safety standards of some services across the country, and we want to take this opportunity to reassure you that being a small, well established, family run centre, your child’s safety is and will always be our absolute top priority.
At Making A Difference we uphold a culture of reporting any concerns throughout the centre and all employees understand their responsibilities in relation to this. For quick access and shared knowledge, we have the process of reporting any child protection concerns to the authorities up on display in each room throughout the centre, in the case it is needed by anyone at any time.
All our families and community members have full access to our company policies, including our set of child safety policies are procedures which outline the standard for required professionalism and conduct from all our employees. These are available for you to view and provide feedback on, in hardcopy version at the centre in our Policies and Procedures folder, and via your Storypark account. If you require assistance to access them, please let me know.
We are extremely fortunate to have the professional and trustworthy team that we do here at Making A Difference who genuinely care for our children. We are incredibly proud of this difference we offer our community and recognise the privilege that it is to care for the wonderful children we have. We appreciate your trust in us, and we will always work to advocate for our children’s safety and wellbeing.
