🌟 Woke up to some wonderful news this morning! 🌟

Two of my long-term students participated in the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod yesterday evening, and I’m delighted to share their wonderful results.

🎶 Meilin received a Highly Recommended award for her performance in the 20th–21st Century Work category. She was still unsure about whether she should enter the section until just last week, so to receive this result is a fantastic achievement. I’m especially proud of her for taking the challenge and stepping outside her comfort zone!

🎹 Graceline competed in the Classical Period category, where there were only two contestants. She worked extremely hard and came 1st. She also entered the Jazz & Blues category as the only candidate and gave a wonderful performance, deserving the 1st award and the prize money for the section — something I didn’t even realise was offered! 😊

A huge congratulations to both Meilin and Graceline! 🎉👏

Your hard work, courage and dedication are truly paying off. Keep up the wonderful work! 🎶❤️

🌟 今早醒來就收到令人開心的好消息！ 🌟

兩位學生昨晚參加了 Hawkesbury Eisteddfod，很高興在此分享她們的優秀成績。

🎶 Meilin 在 20–21世紀作品組別中演出，獲得 Highly Recommended（高度推薦獎）。她直到上週還不太確定是否要參加，因此這次的成績格外令人驚喜。我特別為她勇於接受挑戰、踏出舒適圈而感到驕傲！

🎹 Graceline 參加了 古典時期組別，該組別只有兩位參賽者。她非常努力，最終獲得 第一名。她同時也參加了 爵士與藍調組別，並且是該組別唯一的參賽者，她的演出非常出色，值得第一名獎項及獎金——我之前也不知道有提供獎金的😊

🎉 Congratulations to our Year 11 student, L, on her wonderful achievement! 🎉

L recently received a Platinum Award at the Australian Guild of Music Virtual Festival for her performance of Baroque composition, Scarlatti's Piano Sonata in A major, K.484.

As L prepares for her Grade 8 piano examination, we felt the Virtual Festival was a great opportunity for her to showcase this piece and receive valuable feedback.

The adjudicator commented that she captured the character and spirit of the music very well. While there are still a few areas to refine, the feedback confirmed that she is on the right track for her upcoming exam.

Congratulations, L! We are so proud of your dedication and progress, and we wish you every success in your Grade 8 examination! 👏🎹🌟

恭喜十一年級學生 L 在 剛剛的Australian Guild of Music Virtual Festival（澳洲音樂協會線上音樂節）中，以演奏史卡拉第（Scarlatti)《A大調鋼琴奏鳴曲 K.484》榮獲白金獎（Platinum Award)！

L 目前正準備八級鋼琴考試。在她完成這首樂曲的學習後，透過參加線上音樂節來獲得專業評審的寶貴意見是一個很好的學習機會，也順道鍛鍊一下表演經驗。

評審表示，L 掌握樂曲的風格與精神不錯，整體表現相當出色。雖然仍有一些細節可以進一步琢磨，但她正朝著正確的方向邁進，對即將到來的八級考試非常有幫助。

🎉 Celebrating another wonderful achievement! 🎉
Congratulations to our Year 9 student on her outstanding success in the recent Australia Guild of Music & Speech Virtual Festival!

Her performance of "Agitato" from Burgmüller Op. 109 earned a Platinum Award—an exceptional accomplishment.

The adjudicator praised her performance, commenting that it was "a very fine aperformance" with "good dynamics and expressive playing."

We are incredibly proud of your dedication and hard work. Keep up the fantastic effort, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 🌟👏🎹

Teacher workshop completed ✔️

What a wonderful half day workshop organised by Dural Music Center.

I finally had the chance to meet Keith Snell—renowned US music educator and composer—in person after hearing his name for so many years.

He shared some fantastic ideas about teaching adult students, and his compositions are truly inspiring. The workshop has even motivated me to try my hand at composing!

And, of course, it’s always a bonus to receive complimentary books 📚😊

教師工作坊完成 ✔️

這半天的教師工作坊很不錯呢！我終於有機會親自見到 Keith Snell——這位久聞大名的美國音樂教育家與作曲家。

他分享了許多關於他教授成人學生的方法，而他的作品也很有啟發性，甚至激勵我嘗試作曲！

當然，能收到贈書總是額外的驚喜 📚😊

🎹 A wonderful achievement!

This year marked the first time our students participated in the Australian Guild of Music and Speech (AGMS) Virtual Music Festival, and I am delighted to celebrate their success.

Congratulations to our Year 8 student, R, who was awarded Platinum for his performance of Lesson No. 4 by J. B. Cramer.

The adjudicator praised his performance, commenting that it was “an enjoyable with attention to details”.

Congratulations, R, on this achievement. I am very proud of you!

今年是我們的學生首次參加澳洲音樂與演講協會（AGMS）線上音樂節，我非常高興大家都獲得不錯的成績！

Miss Year 4 played "Spring Showers" amid a week of nonstop wind and rain. The week prior, she encountered some issues with the rhythm and hit a few wrong notes. I playfully mentioned that the rain would stick around if she didn’t address them. Fortunately, she made the necessary adjustments, and we enjoyed a lovely, sunny weekend! 😊

上週風大雨大，4年級學生前週彈《Spring Showers 》時遇到一些節奏問題，又彈錯了幾個音。我開玩笑說，如果她不把這些問題解決，雨就會停留。 幸運她這週都彈好了，我們度過了一個陽光明媚的週末！

I am currently in Hong Kong visiting my family and my friends.

It’s a bit gloomy lately but so far no rain. The light breeze makes walking along the harbour very pleasant!
